  • Dr. Benjamin Alvarez Dillena Jr., EdD, FRIEdr, Polo National High School

    Dr. Benjamin Alvarez Dillena Jr., EdD, FRIEdr, is a seasoned educator, researcher, and academic practitioner with extensive experience across basic education, higher education, and scholarly research. He earned his Doctor of Education major in Educational Management from Governor Andres Pascual College and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics. His academic foundation includes a Master of Arts in Teaching major in Mathematics, a Master of Arts in Education major in Special Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Education major in Mathematics.

    Dr. Dillena currently serves as Master Teacher I at Polo National High School, Department of Education, Schools Division Office of Valenzuela, where he also functions as Faculty and Subject Group Head for the STEM and ICT Strand. In addition to his role in basic education, he is actively engaged in higher education as a part-time professor in both graduate and undergraduate programs at multiple institutions, including La Consolacion University Philippines, St. Bernadette Lourdes College, Angeles University Philippines, Manila Central University, Philippine School of Business Administration, Pambayang Dalubhasan ng Marilao, Jesus Is Lord Colleges Foundation, Inc., Our Lady of Fatima University, Meycauayan College,  and Our Lady of Lourdes College in Valenzuela.  His academic and research interests center on educational management, mathematics education, STEM instruction, instructional leadership, and research productivity. Dr. Dillena has presented and published scholarly work at national and international academic venues, including the Asian Conference on Education in Tokyo, Japan. His research contributions extend to peer-reviewed academic journals, reflecting sustained engagement with evidence-based educational practice.

    Dr. Dillena is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Royal International Singapore, the Mathematical Society of the Philippines, the Philippine Association for Teacher Education, and the Philippine Physics Society. Through these affiliations, he remains connected to both local and international academic communities, contributing to ongoing discourse in mathematics, science, and teacher education.

    Recognized for his commitment to quality instruction, research rigor, and professional excellence, Dr. Dillena continues to advocate for innovation, evidence-based practice, and sustained academic excellence. His work reflects a long-standing dedication to strengthening mathematics and STEM education, advancing research culture, and shaping learners and educators through disciplined, reflective practice.
